About Three Dimensional Life

Three Dimensional Life (3D) was a Christian based addiction treatment program for boys ages 14-19 located in Gainesville, Georgia. They were a state licensed residential program that provided Christian classes, evidence based counseling and adventure activities.

The organization did accept various insurance plans. There was an intake interview where they would explain the payment options based on your specific needs.

Residential Treatment for Boys in Georgia

The treatment program lasted for nine months and included faith based classes, individual, family and group therapy and regular adventure and activity trips. I was impressed that the campus was a Christmas tree farm with 55 acres that provided a chance for the boys to experience life away from social media and bad influences.

Along with counseling, 3D used a curriculum from a recovery program called Dunklin Memorial Camp, which focused on the participants inviting Jesus into their lives and wounds.

Participants in the program attended a specific church in Gainesville on Sundays, and after the first 30 days parents were able to visit with their sons at church.

Education and Work During Treatment

I saw that 3D made it clear that the focus was on helping boys with addiction, but they did offer a non-traditional school called Faith Academy. The program included qualified instructors and followed the Georgia Board of Education for courses. The diplomas were accepted as regular high school diplomas.

Students who weren’t in school worked on property maintenance and in a woodshop where they learned to refinish furniture. The goal was to develop a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and pride in a good job that would last after the program ended.
