About The Womens Home

The Women’s Home is located in Arlington, Virginia. They treat substance abuse issues for women 18 and older. It is a residential program that accommodates thirty guests in their early recovery stages.

They are heavily focused on personal responsibility and expect everyone to show consideration and respect to each other. As a resident, you’ll maintain a rigorous schedule that includes individual and group counseling, completing daily chores, and working or seeking employment. Residents will keep a clean, organized space and continue abstaining from substances.

You’ll connect with other house guests who may share similar addiction struggles and experiences, creating a trusting network. Residents must demonstrate the willingness to follow the program rules and commit to staying at least 90 days.

All applicants are screened to ensure they are not in the detox phase or using substances. Some residents remain for six months or longer. The service is inclusive, and women are welcome from all areas of life, including various ethnic groups and locations.

The Women’s Home is a nonprofit center that exists to help sustain long-term sobriety. They understand that recovery takes time and is a different process for everyone.
