About Salvation Army (Clitheroe Center)

Located on east of Point Campbell Park in Anchorage, Alaska, the Salvation Army Residential is a residential treatment program for men and women experiencing alcohol or drug addiction (including opioid addiction), mental health issues, or co-occurring disorders. The 42-bed facility maintains separate living quarters for men and women. A typical program lasts at for at least 30 days–often longer–depending on the individual resident’s need. Treatment includes individual and group counseling, addiction and relapse prevention education, life skills education, and 12-step programming. Women’s treatment includes programming specific to women’s needs, such as education on domestic violence.

Salvation Army Residential maintains CARF Accreditation. They accept Medicaid, private health insurance, and self-payment. They offer a sliding scale payment option for those who need financial assistance.
