About The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center

Based in New Orleans, Louisiana, The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center provides professional residential addiction treatment to adult men aged 21-62, regardless of race, sexuality, or background.

Many of us have heard of The Salvation Army, but were you aware that they also offer drug rehab services? At their New Orleans location, adult men can access drug rehab services and addiction treatment. As part of this, individuals can also access work, as well as physical and spiritual care as they prepare to rejoin society and resume a drug-free life. This particular location features 60 beds to house program participants during residential addiction treatment. The program is designed to holistically provide for participants’ social, emotional, and spiritual needs within a wholesome, clean environment.

Participants at this facility can enjoy three nutritional meals per day, with clothing and laundry facilities provided. Individual and group counseling sessions take place regularly, as well as support groups and work therapy to support residents’ career trajectories. Life skills education sessions are also available, as well as chapel services, bible study, and pastoral counseling to support residents’ spiritual needs. Referrals can also be made for participants in need of further or more intensive care. On top of all this, participants can benefit from recreational events to unwind while they put in the work for their recovery journey. Some of the activities include movie nights, games, sports nights, fishing, karaoke, and much more.

As for admission requirements, men looking to apply must have a social security card and photo ID. Every potential participant can expect to go through an intake interview to make sure the program is a good match. If it’s not, the center will aim to refer individuals to more relevant and fitting programs. As for the time commitment of this program, participants can expect to be in treatment for a minimum of six months.
