Located in Wyoming, Rhode Island, is the Providence Center Roads to Recovery Women. This program offers residential care to women in recovery from an alcohol or drug dependency. They use a mixture of evidence based therapies and wraparound services to help you work toward long term sobriety. Since first opening its doors to the public in 1969, The Providence Center has grown to become a critical pillar for behavioral health support throughout the community.
Dual Diagnosis Care for Women
Women often face unique challenges regarding their substance use struggles. I find that care here is specialized and tailored to you, helping you tackle feelings of trauma, grief, domestic violence, pregnancy and parenthood. Through the over 60 programs offered through their network, you’ll get the right wraparound support to navigate your recovery in the way you need. Recognizing that substance use is often accompanied by mental health challenges, the team here can assess and treat underlying co-occurring mental health struggles as well.
Vocational and Legal Support
Wraparound services including access to vocational and legal support can help you better plan for the future. You’ll have experienced professionals including peer support specialists and recovery coaches helping guide you on your path toward independent living.
Aftercare Services for Long Term Support
I find the care offered through this recovery program to be well tailored to your recovery needs. For example, you’ll work with a clinician and an individualized treatment plan will be created for you to ensure long term success. You’ll also have access to case management and, through aftercare, you’ll have access to services including primary care and the Anchor Recovery Community Center to promote long term recovery.
