About The Next Door Recovery

The Next Door in Nashville, Tennessee, is a place for women to recover from addiction in a faith-based setting. This facility focuses on the unique needs of women in recovery and also works with those who have a dual diagnosis. They accept a bunch of insurance carriers including Aetna, Cigna and others. They accept pregnant women up to 38 weeks in gestation.

Women can receive inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) treatment and medical detox. The Next Door uses proven methods to address the needs of each woman’s mind, body and spirit. This is a faith-based center where women can nurture their relationship with God. Wherever you are on your spiritual path, The Next Door will meet you there and help you strengthen your spiritual well being.

If you need detox, you can get 24/7 nursing and regular assessments. You may be given medication to assist with withdrawal symptoms and discomfort. Once you complete this process, you’ll be able to begin residential treatment.

Their residential treatment’s program lasts 28 days and helps women explore and heal from their substance use disorders, mental illness and trauma. You’ll have access to different kinds of therapy including group, solo, and dialectical (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). You’ll begin to work your way through the 12 Step program as well as join in education groups that will teach you parenting skills, relapse prevention, setting boundaries and more.

I like that they offer holistic options. There are classes for yoga and art and programs for young children.

They also have outpatient programs that are best suited for women who have a stable home and can manage daily activities.
