The House of Extra Measures operates a certified sober living residence for adult men in Houston Heights.

This structured recovery residence specializes in housing for men recovering from opioid use disorder and co-occurring conditions, requiring concurrent intensive outpatient participation for admission.

The program is designed as a bridge between inpatient treatment and independent living, emphasizing accountability, peer community and recovery-oriented daily routines.

MAT-Friendly Sober Living

The house is one of the few recovery residences in Houston specifically tailored to men utilizing medication-assisted treatment.

Residents commit to a minimum six-month stay, with a maximum of twelve months to build lasting stability through structure and brotherhood.

I noted that a typical weekday includes morning meditation, work or volunteer commitments, recovery meetings, a resident-prepared dinner and an evening wrap-up.
