About The GRR Plantation

The GRR Plantation Home was a residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program that provided support exclusively to adult women in Vero Beach, Florida. It’s now closed, but this facility cared for women ages 18 and up who were either in various stages of recovery or who may have recently relapsed. People struggling with co-occurring mental health disorders could also seek treatment here.

Vero Beach is a popular beach town in Florida with plenty of coastal access which can be a therapeutic complement to undergoing SUD treatment. This facility is located near several beaches along with Indian River Lagoon. I appreciate that you can also access local parks like Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area or McKee Botanical garden for calming green spaces.

A Safe Sober Living Facility

Whether you were experiencing relapse or simply wanted to continue treatment while also rebuilding your life in a substance free space, then GRR Plantation home was a great starting point. This facility relied on evidence based therapy and utilized a trauma informed care approach to help people understand the underlying causes of their addiction and to help them build healthier coping mechanisms.

I think it’s important to note that the residence was housed in a former historic plantation home which, while scenic, may not have appealed to everyone. Still, you had access to en suite bedrooms, communal living areas, and plenty of outdoor spaces for recreational use.

A Holistic Approach to Healing

Along with proven therapeutic approaches, you could also participate in holistic care that focused on your overall health and wellness to help you become stronger mentally and physically. Meanwhile, you could also build solid relationships with other residents. They served as an accountability support group to help you as you continue your recovery journey.

GRR Plantation Home accepted most major insurance and private payment options.
