About The Grove

The Grove Academy is one of Florida IMPOWER’s residential recovery programs for adolescents aged between 13 and 17 years in Winter Springs, Florida. IMPOWER equips individuals and families to lead meaningful and productive lives through treatment support.

Their continuum of mental health and substance use treatment ranges from residential therapy to flexible intensive outpatient (IOP) care, including a completely virtual option. They break financial barriers with coverage accepted via Medicaid and Medicare.

Since 1974, the Grove Academy has provided substance use treatment for adolescents across Seminole County. I like that they’re situated in tranquil woods southeast of Central Winds Park and south of the Museum of Seminole County History. The location offers a peaceful environment conducive to recovery with easy access via State Road 419.

High-Intensity, Structured Care for Long-Term Success

At the Grove Academy, you’ll gain practical skills to lead a meaningful life. The program lasts between 30 and 90 days. You’ll attend therapy groups five days weekly alongside monthly individual sessions to address underlying emotional and social issues. Family sessions are held monthly as well to better understand and support your recovery journey.

They also offer life skills classes as the 12 Steps that cover essentials like budgeting, job interview preparation and healthy meal planning. You’ll attend Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous most evenings to benefit from the guidance of peer experts.

We particularly appreciate its Florida Virtual School for residents to stay on track with credits or catch up in the classroom. Credits are accepted by all Florida schools and help reduce stigma when returning to a traditional classroom.

You may continue your healing journey via their adolescent virtual IOP. This program lasts about six weeks and integrates psychiatric care like medication management to tackle co-occurring or underlying mental health issues and ensure whole-person recovery.

Gender-specific addiction treatment gives men who are struggling with substance use disorders a connection point to other men with similar struggles. This common ground can make a huge impact on men’s rehab in Florida.

Opioid Treatment

Opioid rehab in Florida provides the care you need to help you safely and comfortably navigate a path to recovery. Treatment addresses both emotional and physical aspects of addiction, offering individualized tracks and custom programs.

Levels of Care

Outpatient Rehab

Dual Diagnosis & Mental Health

If you are struggling with both an addiction and a mental health disorder, treatment for dual diagnosis in Florida is necessary for successful recovery. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Drug rehabs in Florida offering partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) allow you to live at home while still receiving care at a treatment facility. As a type of outpatient treatment, PHPs typically require an average of five to seven visits a week, ranging from four to eight hours in length.
