I really like the services they're offering and their approach to treating addiction at Adult and Teen Challenge Chicago. As the name suggests, this facility treats both adolescents and adults who are struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. They are careful about providing age-appropriate services and support and treat dual diagnosis conditions as well. They're located in Chicago, Illinois, and offer residential treatment. This is a long-term residential program that lasts between 12 and 18 months.

I should also note that they are a faith-based program, so you can expect to find some services that are faith-based sprinkled into their programming. They offer Bible studies, work projects, education for adolescents and recreational activities. They even offer aftercare support once you complete the residential program. All of these services apply to both men and women, and they have specific residential facilities for each gender.

Another great thing about the program is that it's completely free. This inpatient program relies on donations and fundraising to keep it going and to keep costs low for those in need.

Faith-Based and Holistic Approach

Some more faith-based services you can expect are a Christ-centered approach to addiction recovery, as well as Bible counseling, choir, praise and worship, regular chapel services and Bible study classes. But there's more to it than just that. They also have plenty of recreational facilities and amenities, including a recreation room, a basketball court, a pool table, movies and an exercise room and gym.

They take a holistic approach as well and offer some more emotional and spiritual services too. Plus they have a work-study program that includes cooking, catering, landscaping, painting, janitorial services and auto detailing.
