About Lebanon Academy

Youth Opportunity has set up programs across the country dedicated to addressing the mental health and addiction needs of teens. Their Lebanon Youth Academy residential program in Lebanon, Tennessee, accepts boys ages 12 through 17. They help at risk teens make positive changes and avoid tragic consequences.

Their intensive approach combines education with medical care (including crisis services) to build a strong base of recovery support. Ultimately, the goal is to address more than the primary diagnosis, helping clients learn the best ways to handle the challenges of life. Individualized treatment plans mean the length of someone’s stay can vary.

Sobriety in the Cedar City

You may be surprised to learn that the home of the Nashville Super Speedway has some great spots to destress and relax. If you or a loved one comes here for treatment, make sure to use places like Cedars of Lebanon State Park to find some peace after a session, or to enjoy yourself and your sobriety.

Working in the Community

Therapy (including the 12 Step model, art therapy, recreational therapy, and a faith based option) forms the base of what this program offers, but there’s more to it. The Teen Outreach Program allows your teen to directly serve the greater community, giving them the opportunity to help others and make meaningful connections.

I love the different ways this program supports recovery. Not only will participants be socializing, but it’s also an opportunity for them to begin practicing their new coping skills in real world settings and scenarios. I like how this happens during treatment, not after.
