About Talbott Recovery Dunwoody Outpatient
Talbott Recovery Dunwoody Outpatient is located in Dunwoody, Georgia. Adults who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues may receive treatment at this location. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission. They accept most commercial insurances and TRICARE.
Before beginning your outpatient treatment, you will undergo an assessment. The assessment will include questions about your current substance use and its impact to determine the severity of your addiction. Afterwards, they will be able to create your personalized treatment plan which will direct you to the best level of care.
The differences between their outpatient programs are the amount of hours you spend in sessions per day. The partial hospitalization program (PHP) has you attending sessions five days per week for six hours per day. When you are in this program, you will have the option to stay at one of their recovery residences. Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) has you attend sessions five days per week for three hours per day. They also have a specific program for licensed professionals. I like that their programs offer sessions in the day and evening hours.
If needed, medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available. The medication will help reduce substance cravings and ease any withdrawal symptoms.
They have an addiction medicine doctor that you will meet with once a week. Staff will monitor your progress and make adjustments to your treatment plan as your needs change. Your treatment plan may include therapies such as dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation and family counseling.
Their dual diagnosis program treats substance use disorders and mental health disorders at the same time. Mental health therapies and medication will be included in your treatment.
Once you have graduated from their program, their alumni services will provide community resources and activities that help keep you engaged with your peers and support your recovery.
