About Starlite Recovery Center
Starlite Recovery Center has been around for over 65 years providing substance abuse treatments to adults. Their 55 acre campus is located in Center Point, Texas near both Austin and San Antonio. They provide everything from detox and residential treatment, medication assisted treatment and outpatient care. They accept many insurance providers like Beacon, Cigna, ComPsyche, Health Choice, and more.
Starlite’s detox program allows you to be surrounded by the beauty of the Texas Hill Country while safely withdrawing from substances. Once you stabilize, you can step down to residential treatment. Here, you’ll get access to life skill groups, participate in 12 step groups, and have individual counseling sessions. Amenities on site include a ropes course with a rock wall and zip line, equine therapy, a fully equipped gym, mini golf, nature trails, yoga classes and more. Physical wellness is vital to recovery which is why they offer an onsite personal trainer and acupuncture.
They run specific programs for LBGTQ+ folks in their open and respectful healing environment. The Journey program is a faith-based, non denominational program for people who want a Christian perspective. You’ll join weekly groups that combine Christian beliefs with psychology.
The medication assisted treatment program is led by the medical director. The medication and dose you receive will be carefully chosen to suit your needs. They offer several options including suboxone, buprenorphine, and Vivitrol. Staff will help you understand the pros and cons of each so you can make an educated decision.
Starlite also treats people with co-occurring mental health disorders. If you have bipolar disorder, anxiety or depression, Starlite can help. Treatment for these conditions will be folded into your treatment plan along with your substance abuse treatment.
I like their discharge planning process which begins the day someone is admitted into the program. These discharge plans are set up for a full year to support clients through the transition out of treatment. Counselors will work with clients to set up ongoing meetings and counseling sessions in your area and will follow up with you for a full year.
