At Star of Hope located in Houston, Texas, men, women, and families who are experiencing homelessness and struggling with addiction can find Christ centered services to support positive life changes. One of the goals is to address both short and long term issues that impact individuals and families. Star of Hope works to help you set intentional goals and gain the tools to meet them.

Helpful Services for Women and Men

For women on the road to stability, The Women and Family Development Center at Star of Hope’s Cornerstone Community provides services to break cycles of abuse, neglect and addiction. A 90-day, state licensed intensive substance use treatment program is available, as well as case management, spiritual recovery, and referrals for permanent housing.

The Men’s Development Center offers a spiritual program which lasts seven months and encourages men to successfully recover from substance abuse and gain the skills to live a sober and independent life. At the center, meals are provided, chapel services are available, and you can receive clean clothes.

Treatment Designed For Teens

For teenagers and families experiencing homelessness, Star of Hope helps to provide a safe and positive environment where you can grow your faith and connect with peers. The program provides services to help teens build life skills and prepare for college.

I like that there are also recreational activities like field trips, summer camps and service opportunities that connect teens to their community. Star of Hope is located just off of interstate 610. I noticed you’re also a few minutes away from Memorial Park, which can be a great place to enjoy some nature and exercise.
