About (SOS) Specialized Outpatient Services

Specialized Outpatient Services is a non profit facility that provides substance use disorder treatment in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The staff is trained to treat addictions to a range of substances in both adults and adolescentsl. The services provided include interventions, outpatient treatment and virtual outpatient treatment.

Structured Family Interventions To Encourage Recovery

Specialized Outpatient services will provide you with expert planning and direction for all aspects of an intervention. The service begins with training, which focuses on how to handle objections from your loved one and break through denial using the power of the group. A rehearsal will be done that will prepare for multiple that may take place before moving with the intervention.

They have unique interventions focusing on a variety of professionals including those in healthcare. These require a significant degree of confidentiality.

If your loved one decides to accept treatment, they can be escorted to the facility for an additional charge to get started. I like that a case manager is made available to coordinate communication between the family and the treatment center about their loved one’s care.

Virtual Outpatient Treatment Offering Convenience

This clinic offers outpatient treatment for both adults and teens. One thing I noticed was that the facility gives you the option of receiving your outpatient addiction treatment both in person and virtually.

You’ll have access to peer recovery coaching, 12 step groups and trauma informed therapy. They also have programs for Parents Helping Parents and anger management classes.

With the convenience of virtual treatment, you’ll have more time to experience what Oklahoma City has to offer. Some unique places you can check out are Scissortail Park and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
