About MBHC

In the rural city of Mesquite, Nevada, 80 miles from Las Vegas, you’ll find the state’s Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS) Mesquite Behavioral Health Center. This center offers outpatient mental health and addiction treatment for adults, adolescents and youth.

Services may be available in both Spanish and English. The Center accepts Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance plans. They also have a sliding fee scale for those without coverage.

Outpatient Treatment for Multiple Groups in Mesquite

One thing I noticed about this clinic is that they have targeted treatment for populations that have unique needs. For example, they have veterans’ programs and treatment for clients with HIV/AIDS and the clinic participates in court diversion programs for nonviolent offenders.

Treatment is offered in individual and group therapy, with integrated treatment available for those with both mental health and substance use disorders. The Center uses evidence based treatment such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

For those with mental health diagnoses, the clinic can offer a variety of psychiatric medications along with medication management services.

Case Management and Peer Support

I like that the Mesquite Behavioral Health Center also provides support services for those in treatment and recovery. This includes case management, which can connect you to a wide variety of community resources and social services to help with basic needs. You may be able to get help with housing, employment, child care and other services.

The Center also has peer support. Peers are trained individuals who have been through treatment and recovery already and are there to encourage you and help you find the assistance you need to succeed. This might include peer support groups and other resources.

Women's Rehab

Addiction and recovery affect women differently than men. Because women progress faster through recovery, experience more mental health problems, and face different barriers to treatment, a women’s rehab in Nevada is often the ideal solution for women facing addiction.

Teen & Adolescent Program

A young adult program in Nevada helps participants overcome the challenges of this stage of life and re-enter life stronger, sober, and ready to make healthy choices. This treatment is ideal for teens, college students, and young adults starting careers and families.

Levels of Care

Outpatient Rehab

For many, Nevada outpatient rehab is the next step after successfully completing an inpatient program. This less-restrictive treatment involves living at home and returning to life responsibilities while attending several treatment sessions each week. This continues for weeks or months, until you are ready to move to the next level of care.

Dual Diagnosis & Mental Health

When you choose Nevada dual diagnosis treatment, you’ll receive care from experts who specialize in each of your co-occurring disorders. This multidisciplinary approach effectively treats both your mental health and substance abuse disorders.

Payment Options

Financial Aid

If you need help paying for alcohol and drug rehab in Nevada financial aid may be a good solution, which can help with the cost of treatment. Financial assistance options include grants, scholarships, non-profit programs, personal funding, and health insurance programs to help you manage the expense of substance abuse treatment.

Payment Plans & Financing

For those who are underinsured or uninsured, paying the total cost of a rehab program up front is not feasible. Fortunately, many alcohol and drug rehabs make financing available to potential clients through private loans, in-house payment plans, or partner lenders. You can choose a finance package that lets you start treatment immediately and pay for it later.

Medicaid Accepted

You may be eligible for Medicaid (Called Nevada Medicaid and Nevada Check Up). For those who have Nevada Medicaid, coverage varies but can assist with all levels of care.

Medicare Accepted

For those with Medicare, the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange can provide coverage options for alcohol and drug rehab in Nevada. The amount of coverage will depend on many things, including whether you are seeking inpatient or outpatient treatment for substance abuse.

TRICARE

Administered by the Department of Defense, TRICARE offers comprehensive military health insurance plans for active and retired military members and their families. Similar to PPO programs offered by private insurance companies, TRICARE covers multiple levels of care for addiction treatment, including detox, inpatient rehab, and outpatient services.

Private Insurance

Your private rehab insurance may cover some or all the costs of addiction treatment in Nevada. Ultimately, the coverage amounts are based on your policy and it's possible you'll need to pay copayment or co-insurance fees out of pocket. Check with your insurer for more information.

Self-Pay Options

Self-Pay or Private Pay options are a way to finance your recovery journey. Choosing self-pay allows you to access the level of care you need —including detox, inpatient rehab, and more — because you’re not subject to the restrictions of private insurers.

Sliding Scale Payment

A sliding scale payment plan is an option for those who need help paying for rehab but can't pay the full amount. This option can provide access to all levels of care, including detox and inpatient rehab. To qualify for this treatment discount, you must complete an application and provide supporting financial documentation.
