About South Meadows Recovery

South Meadows Recovery is a substance abuse treatment facility. They offer partial hospitalization and intensive and general outpatient programs. Their extended care facility provides transitioning assistance for those leaving residential treatment or recovering from a recent relapse situation. You'll find 'em out in Austin, Texas.

Partial hospitalization is often a step-down service for those leaving inpatient care. It allows a small group setting where guests receive medication management when necessary. They include holistic methods, like art groups and a meditation class, which offer relaxation and mindfulness strategies for stress reduction.

Intensive outpatient includes attending group therapy sessions three times each week. You’ll also attend individual weekly counseling sessions. The one-on-one time allows you to work on personal issues that may interfere with a sober lifestyle. You may work on developing healthy coping skills, recognizing substance use triggers, and learning relapse prevention strategies.

General outpatient offers more flexibility and typically lasts 8 to 12 weeks, depending on your unique needs and recovery goals. You’ll attend both individual and group counseling sessions. This program is also helpful for those who’ve completed the intensive outpatient program.

Their clinical groups also focus on co-occurring conditions that often accompany addiction, like depression and anxiety. Each member of their team has either had a loved one affected by addiction or dealt with addiction personally.

You’ll begin the 12 Step program to help you have more accountability and provide a network of support from your peers in recovery. Life skills exercises help you rebuild and refocus your life with time management, forming healthy relationships, achieving goals, budgeting, and overcoming social anxiety.

Extended care provides housing and access to recovery coaching, accountability and meditation groups. You’ll have an onsite gym for fitness and physical activity. All the programs are designed to provide the foundation needed for lifelong sobriety.
