About South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources Outpatient

South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources is a nonprofit dedicated to mental health services for adults, children, and families. Their location is in Camden, New Jersey. They provide intensive outpatient (IOP) therapy, mental health support, and clinical assessments. A specialized program called COSTAR is for homeless adults with mental illness is also available.

Children and adolescents ages 5-18 can come to this facility and obtain individual and group therapy. Any emotional or behavioral problems the child has will be addressed. They’ll receive medication monitoring, advocacy services, and referrals to any additional services needed. Goals will be developed collaboratively with the kids and be based on their strengths and inherent abilities.

For adults, outpatient treatment is culturally sensitive and based on the belief that change and recovery are possible. You’ll receive a psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring. Individual, group, and family therapy will help you overcome unhealthy mental and behavioral health symptoms. Psychoeducation will help you navigate triggers and learn new coping skills. Intensive outpatient programs accommodate referrals from crisis care and emergency rooms.

The COSTAR program offers a drop in center with case management services and accommodations like laundry and showers.

One thing I like about this organization is that they offer all services in Spanish at this location.

One client says they’ve been using South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources for two years and they have no complaints. Another person said the staff is great and will help you with whatever problems you have. Some people say that the communication and scheduling are disorganized.
