About South Brunswick Counseling Services

On the coast of southeastern North Carolina, where the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River meet, you’ll find the small city of Southport. Here you’ll find the new location of South Brunswick Counseling Services (SBCS) near the Lowe-White Memorial Park.

SBCS provides outpatient counseling for individuals facing substance use disorders (SUDs) as well as general mental and behavioral health issues. Something that really stands out to me about their services is that their individualized care plans are built around flexibility. While receiving treatment here, they’ll support you not only in your recovery journey but will also work to help fit into your schedule, allowing you to stay on top of your day-to-day responsibilities.

Compassionate Care With Dual Diagnosis Support

At SBCS, they can provide young adults, adults, and seniors with individualized care plans after a brief SUD assessment. When receiving treatment, you’ll get plenty of individual attention from your therapist in your one on one sessions.

Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, life coaching, and skill building, they’ll help you set and achieve specific recovery goals in various areas of your life. They’ll gently encourage you to move towards your goals, with the ultimate objective of helping you become resilient and independent.

Since their expertise covers SUD treatments as well as general mental healthcare services, they’re also fully equipped to provide integrated support for patients with a dual diagnosis.

Some of their other therapy options include family therapy as well as group therapy. In each of these settings, you’ll experience healing within a community and won’t have to feel isolated during your recovery.

Licensed Help for DWI Cases in Southport

SBCS’s Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School (ADETS) program is another part of their services, which I find to be incredibly useful. In this program, they bring the compassionate expertise that undergirds their counseling and use it to help restore driving privileges to people who’ve lost such privileges as a result of a court order.
