About Sober Living Properties Holladay

Where do you go once you finish drug rehab? Many people finish treatment and immediately go back to their old environment, which isn’t always the healthiest choice. In Millcreek, Utah, Holladay House is run by Sober Living Properties and is available for men who have completed rehab and are ready to live in a structured sober environment, but aren’t quite ready to go home.

Millcreek has a lot going for it, with local parks, bus lines, stores, and places to eat, all close to the house. There’s even a movie theater nearby. Mount Olympus provides a peaceful backdrop and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature, something I think you’ll find helpful during recovery.

Where Comfort Meets Recovery

It seems like they’ve worked hard to make this place feel like home, not just a stopover. The rooms are all set up with everything you need. Cable TV and broadband internet are provided, and so are private phone lines in each room.

There’s a shared living space where you can watch TV, play a game, or just hang out by the fireplace. It’s a laid back environment where you can feel safe and just focus on getting your life back on track.

Building Structure and Support

I’ve found that in recovery, it’s important to have a good support system, but it’s equally as important to have accountability. They provide both here. You’ll attend regular house meetings where everyone checks in and shares their progress. The house staff are there to offer support whenever you need it.

I like their checkpoint system because it’s all about accountability and reaching milestones in recovery. Checkpoints include random drug screening, attending 12 Step recovery meetings, and staying sober. They require you to find your 12 Step sponsor within the first two weeks.

Finding Support Beyond the House

Recovery doesn’t happen in a vacuum. While structure and accountability matter inside the home, what happens outside can be just as important.

They help you stay connected whether it’s continuing outpatient treatment, finding work, or going to a local 12 Step meeting with someone from the house. That kind of connection makes a difference, and for many, the mix of support and structure makes Holladay House feel like the right next step after treatment.
