About Silvermist
Silvermist Recovery Center is a CARF-accredited, LGBTQ-friendly addiction treatment facility located in Renfrew, Pennsylvania. They provide inpatient treatment for adults who are experiencing mental health and substance use disorders.
Their beautiful campus focuses on nature and adventure as their primary healing modalities. Here, you can participate in outdoor excursions, yoga, art therapy and other activities to begin healing from the inside out. There are also lots of quiet, private spaces on the grounds where you can sit and meditate.
Nestled in the hills of western Pennsylvania, Renfrew is a small, unincorporated village known for its special historical sites, like the country’s first Methodist church. It’s a beautiful, discreet place to begin your recovery journey. When you enroll in treatment, they’ll assign you to one of their four residences, which may include the main residence, the renovated barn, the cabin, or the beautiful stable house.
On the campus’s 30 acres, there are lots of areas set up for recreation and socialization. These include a volleyball court, a heated swimming pool, a yoga studio and a fitness center. When you’re not attending counseling sessions, you can workout, take a swim or go on a nature walk.
Here, they offer cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to heal substance use disorders. They also incorporate interesting alternative therapies like BioSound healing therapy. Dual-diagnosis care is available for clients with co-occurring mental health conditions.
Before you complete your stay, you’ll discuss aftercare planning with your team. A therapist and case manager will provide support and guidance so you can continue your journey of recovery. They can assist with housing placement and give referrals for continuing care.
