About Shreveport Bossier Rescue

Shreveport Bossier Rescue is located in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is a faith-based organization that helps adults navigate the recovery journey they're on. They work with adults of all ages including expectant and new mothers. Care is offered through gender specific programs.

When you first seek care here, you’ll undergo an initial assessment to determine what your recovery needs are. For some people, recovery means overcoming homelessness. For others, it's learning essential skills to help them combat back their drug and alcohol addictions. Some services can help with other life struggles you may be experiencing. There are different programs here that tackle a wide range of life struggles.

I appreciate that they take a compassionate and whole person approach to care. When you first go through the intake process, the staff and care team will take the time to get to know you. They’ll work to understand your needs and recovery goals. By gaining an understanding of who you are and what you’re struggling with, they'll connect you to a program or support service that will adequately serve your needs.

As a faith based organization, the teachings of Jesus and the Bible are woven into their approach to care here. Through this approach, you'll be empowered to analyze your circumstances from a realistic and spiritual standpoint. You'll also be encouraged to tap into your spiritual side to help build your internal motivation for recovery. Through this, you'll find purpose to help drive your recovery forward in a meaningful way.

There is a men’s and women’s life recovery program. The women’s program also offers children's services. These gender separated outpatient programs will connect you to resources like counseling support and educational services. You'll practice recovery skills like knowing how to identify your triggers and how to manage stress. When you're able to hone these skills, you'll have a greater chance at meaningful sobriety.

This faith-based organization also partners with other organizations in the greater Shreveport area. Through these partnerships, you can get access to other services if you need more robust support.
