Seven Counties Services Child and Family is an outpatient behavioral clinic in Louisville, Kentucky. Seven Counties has a number of community mental health centers throughout Kentucky. If you’re wondering what a day would look like if you choose to attend treatment here, you’ll engage in screening and assessments, counseling sessions, targeted case management, and peer support.

They’re not too far from Alberta O. Jones Park. If you go on any outdoor excursions, that can give you a chance to unwind and clear your mind. There’s also a YMCA that’s close.

I find it interesting they have mobile crisis teams available around the clock. It’s valuable to have emergency intervention services available if you and your child needs them.

For families involved with the court system there’s a special program called Family Recovery Court. Parents learn how to be dependable caregivers while receiving substance abuse treatment. This is a 12 to 18 month program with three phases. Recovery support services are provided to children and family members while the parent is in treatment.

If you’re a parent who gets help through this program you’ll participate in a group called Parenting Through Recovery. During phase three of the program, you’ll learn life skills and engage in reunification counseling with your kids.
