About Seasons Center For Behavioral Health
Located in the small town of Spencer, Iowa, Seasons Center for Behavioral Health is a nonprofit that provides substance abuse treatment services for adults. They’ve been helping individuals and communities in the Northwest Iowa region since 1959. The facility does not deny anyone access to care due to inability to pay, providing a sliding fee payment option based on income and family size. Additional services they provide include trauma therapy services and assertive community treatment.
The levels of care that Seasons Center for Behavioral Health offers are the intensive outpatient program, the extended outpatient program, and continuing care services. The facility treats patients with a 12 Step model of addiction treatment. It’s administered by therapists who are certified or eligible for certification with the Iowa Board of Substance Abuse Certification. In addition to treating addiction to substances, Seasons Center for Behavioral Health also provides treatment for problem gambling.
A unique service available at this facility is the Specialized Substance Abuse Treatment Program. It provides substance abuse services to clients and families who are involved with the Department of Human Services. Some of the specialized services provided include emergency substance abuse evaluations and case management services. The program accepts individuals who’ve been referred to by a DHS worker in Clay County.
Some clients struggling with substance use disorder may also struggle with severe mental illness. The Assertive Community Treatment program offers clients assistance in the home or within the community as frequently as necessary. The assistance provided includes help with daily living, general health management, and reducing the use of drugs and alcohol. Your team will be made up of nurses, doctors, substance abuse specialists and therapists.
If you need to unwind between sessions, there are some local greenspaces close by. North School Park and Fairview Park are a couple of blocks away in opposite directions, where you can relax and clear your mind.
