About Women’s Recovery Residence and Community Center (WRRCC)

The Santa Maria Hostel is one of Texas’ largest multisite addiction treatment centers for women. They serve 13 counties with a full continuum of care. This location on Paschall St in Houston is the Women’s Recovery Residence and Community Center (WRRCC), which provides recovery housing for adult women and their children.

The community center is a recovery resource for all women and hosts support groups and sober events. Sober housing isn’t covered by health insurance, but outpatient treatment that you attend likely is. You can contact your insurer to get full details.

Recovery Services for Women in Houston

Having a sober living home that includes both women and their children really stood out to me. The Paschall residence can house 10 women at a time. Transitional housing services at Santa Maria Hostel include peer support and assistance in building a strong sober support network.

To help the women become more self-sufficient, they are also linked to medical care, mental health treatment if needed, educational services and employment support. I noticed that the women also learn important life skills such as budgeting, caring for a home, constructive communication and more.

The Santa Maria Hostel has case managers that connect women to housing support and other community resources so they can move toward independence and a productive, substance free lifestyle.

Women’s Recovery Community Center

I love how the Community Center is open to all women in recovery, not just residents in the program. The Center hosts 12 Step and other recovery support groups as well as drug and alcohol free social events.

Women can also get recovery coaching at the Center and connect to a variety of other resources to support them in their journey.
