About Sanibel House
Located in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, ARC Sanibel House is part of the historic Levi Hampton Estate. This facility offers residential addiction treatment with integrated mental health support. Accredited by CARF, this program will supply you with medical care, group therapy, and other wellness activities. You’ll also receive spiritual counseling and vocational training while receiving treatment.
Sanibel House is an 1847 Italian antebellum home with updates to make it a modern treatment center with the charms of the house’s custom elements. This treatment program is for adults struggling with substance use disorder. It offers a spiritual approach with 12 meetings and chaplain care.
They use four recovery phases. Phase one is stabilization which includes getting the harmful substances out of your body and creating an individualized treatment plan. Phase two is when you do the treatment work and learn recovery and life skills. You’ll also receive case management and peer support.
The next two phases concentrate on your future recovery. Phase three includes taking action in your spiritual life and engaging in specialized job training. The last phase is optional and it includes a potential internship and future employment at ARC. You’ll continue to receive counseling and job training as you prepare for a career within or outside of the organization. These four phases generally last for about one year.
I loved that 50 percent of its employees at ARC are people who’ve already gone through their treatment programs. Another unique part of their program is that they offer transportation to pick you up to bring you to the facility to start the program if you need it.
A previous client said Sanibel House is a great place to work on yourself without the distractions or dangers that can be associated with addiction. Another person who received treatment here said this is a wonderful facility where they love you back to life.
