About Ed Thompson Veterans Program

Based in Queens, New York City, Ed Thompson Veterans Program is a residential drug rehab and addiction recovery facility. Care is available to New York veterans aged 18 and older, regardless of sexuality or ethnicity.

Their 50-bed veterans facility in Richmond Hill was opened in 2006 to offer expanded addiction treatment services. Newly renovated, this state-of-the-art facility boasts a number of community spaces for peer support and bonding, as well as quiet nooks and areas for contemplation and reflection.

Medication-assisted therapy is also offered. This program also supports individuals with dual diagnoses, and concurrent physical or mental health issues.

Residents can also benefit from housing referrals, education, and employment services. This can include vocational training, and other opportunities to help pave new pathways for life after addiction. Aftercare planning is also available to support this goal.
