About SalusCare Ortiz Campus
SalusCare Ortiz Campus permanently closed in March 2024. This was one of several SalusCare facilities in Fort Myers, Florida. They provided medication assisted treatment (MAT), day or evening treatment, case management and services for women who were pregnant or less than 12 months postpartum.
Outpatient Treatment Services in Fort Myers
SalusCare offered day treatment or extended day treatment for clients who did not need residential treatment to recover from substance use. I like that they had a lot of options to meet different availability needs. They had full day, half day or evening groups.
They also offered therapy services in both group and individual settings. This was offered to folks with a mental health condition or a substance use diagnosis. I like that they offered telemedicine as well.
Maternal Assistance Program (MAP)
The MAP gave eligible women free substance abuse treatment and other incidental supplies like baby items. I like that this program was free of charge for this vulnerable population. To get started, pregnant women or those with a baby less than one year old would complete an intake screening to get started.
Case Management
Another excellent feature offered at the Ortiz campus was case management. This was available to any adults over 18 who had substance use or serious mental health challenges. They also worked with people who had co-occurring disorders.
Through this service, clients would get linked to community resources. Your case manager would coordinate additional services so that you got all the support and help you needed to recover.

This tends to be helpful for older adults because they can receive mutual support and acceptance from their peers. These programs are specifically designed for seniors.Women's Rehab
Often, women who have a substance use disorder also have a co-occurring disorder. Women’s rehab in Florida often addresses both the addiction and mental health disorder with dual diagnosis treatment.Teen & Adolescent Program
