About Seton Center – Behavioral Health Services by St. Mary’s General Hospital
The Seton Center is part of St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey, and is the hospital’s behavioral health services treatment center. Staffers offer outpatient care for folks with mental health issues and addictions. Physicians at the center can refer clients to the inpatient psychiatric unit at the hospital if necessary.
The center is easy to reach from major roads, and I noticed that there is a bus stop nearby. Armory Park is across the street.
Clients pay for treatment services using private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. Some programs are funded by state welfare and mental health agency funds.
An Affordable Behavioral Health Treatment Approach
The outpatient program is called POWER and provides an affordable treatment option for recovery for individuals with substance misuse and co-occurring disorders. I like that the staff is experienced in working with youth with serious emotional disturbances. Because the center is affiliated with the hospital, it’s ideal for clients with both mental and medical health issues.
I noticed there’s also a medication clinic for those who may need prescriptions to assist with windrawls. An outreach program for justice-involved clients is also available.
Respectful and Attentive Treatment Staff
The majority of clients were happy with their treatment. One client noted that, “All the staff who work here are incredibly kind and compassionate in the service they provide to patients.” Another said, “I’m so grateful to all the staff and my therapist.”
