Trauma Informed Treatment For Women in Macon

The residential program offers a structured, supportive and substance free space where healing can occur without distraction. You’ll attend group and individual therapy sessions to build practical coping skills that encourage relapse prevention.

Group therapy inspires peer interactions that help you build connections with other women going through the same thing. You’ll learn essential life skills like managing stress or anger, solving problems and healthy communication.

Developing Essential Life Skills

If you’re a parent or plan to become one, you have the opportunity to develop parenting skills through classes that are given in treatment. Family therapy is provided to foster positive family dynamics and strengthen your support network. You’ll benefit from the support of both peers as well as a dedicated team of caring staff that’ll guide you toward healing.

The program also includes vocational training to help you gain the skills needed for stable employment and financial independence. This aligns with their core goal of helping women and moms achieve self sufficiency.

They can also help you find gainful employment in an integrated setting via their supported employment program available at another River Edge location within Macon. This community based employment is based on your strength and motivation.

As you move forward in your recovery, they’ll support your transition from residential care to IOP and then OP. These less intensive options help you maintain your progress and adjust to life outside of a residential setting.

MTA provides low cost bus services for local travel within the area. The location is easy to access via the I-475 corridor which bypasses downtown Macon and connects to I-75. This offers a direct route to nearby cities such as Warner Robins, Forsyth and Atlanta.
