About Ridgeview Institute Smyrna
In Smyrna, Georgia, Ridgeview Institute offers a range of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs for substance abuse and mental health disorders. Adults, adolescents and seniors have programs specialized for them and separate tracks for addiction and psychiatric care. Located on a 37 acre wooded campus, you can choose from inpatient programs, a partial hospitalization program or an intensive outpatient program. Once you complete your programming, you can return to campus for aftercare and alumni support meetings.
Inpatient drug rehab begins with detox to ensure a safe withdrawal process. Following detox, the inpatient program is rooted in 12 step philosophy. You’ll engage in psychoeducational groups and peer support groups. Family members will get the opportunity to attend family workshops and therapy groups. A specialized inpatient crisis stabilization program is available for women and for adolescents.
The partial hospitalization program provides five days per week of treatment with six hours per day of sessions. The intensive outpatient program is three hours per day Monday through Friday. Both programs have group and individual therapy sessions. In these sessions you’ll learn new coping and self regulation skills.
The Ridgeview Alumni Association hosts speakers at their monthly meeting. They have a specific meeting for people who are in recovery and their loved ones. This group is called Relationships in Recovery and is sponsored by the alumni association. It’s not just for couples but for anyone in a family with people who are addicted or in recovery.
Some previous clients said they had a great experience at Ridgeview. Other people mentioned that they didn’t have good experiences and the place was disorganized.
