About Village – CASA Work Perinatal Program
Robinson Health Care Corporation (RHCC) provides medical care, crisis support and treatment services for mental health and substance use disorders, including co-occurring disorders. They have multiple residential facilities and outpatient clinics in eastern North Carolina. The Village delivers adult residential recovery support and addiction treatment for pregnant women and mothers in Winterville.
There are three programs available at The Village: Perinatal, Maternal and CASA Works. RHCC accepts Medicaid coverage to pay for services at this facility.
Recovery Living with Evidence Based Treatment for Women
The Village is unique because it has independent apartments for each woman and her children. This allows them to live a normal family life while the mom is in treatment and getting support to live independently.
The Perinatal program is for mothers who are pregnant or have a child who’s less than a year old. The Maternal program serves mothers with children ages 12 and under. CASA Works is for mothers with children 12 and under eligible for Work First.
All programs offer mental health and addiction treatment, access to 12 step groups, transportation to and from school and work, and onsite childcare. CASA Works also provides job readiness training.
Case Management Support in Winterville
Beyond the onsite services, RHCC links you to a variety of community resources, including social services. I saw you may be able to get help with housing, job searching and long term recovery support.
I noticed that former residents of The Village had significant concerns about their independence during this program. Many said that the program had complete control of their lifestyle and that they weren’t allowed to leave their apartment. Be sure to fully research the facility you’re considering before committing to the program.
