Experienced Staff in a Comfortable Setting

One thing that I think stood out about this facility was the experience of the staff. The staff members not only were experienced in helping others recover from addiction, but they had experience recovering from addiction themselves. They were all able to understand and relate to the stressfulness of what their clients were going through.

Some of the amenities that were provided at this facility were flat screen TVs, massage therapy, and three nutritious meals a day. I like that the facility encouraged individuals to bring personal items that would make them feel at home.

Some of the items they were allowed to bring included books, comfortable clothes and pictures. All computers, tablets, or cell phones were locked away so clients could focus on healing.

Carefully Planned Treatment Process

The process of detox began with an evaluation that determined if it was the appropriate level of care. Clients would then be provided transportation to start admission, which would involve a review of their medical history to set up a personalized detox plan. Clients would be monitored 24/7 by medical staff to help them feel as comfortable as possible.

A counselor would work with clients on a daily basis and the client would participate in various group therapies. Once detox was completed, the patient was transported to the treatment center they agreed to attend to continue their recovery.

Port St. Lucie offered clients many opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities. They could go for a relaxing walk at Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens or the Spruce Bluff Preserve.
