About Resilient Health (formerly PSA Art Awakenings) – Youth

Located in Downtown Tucson, Arizona, Resilient Health Youth and Family is a comprehensive health center that provides primary care, medication assisted treatment, and mental health and addiction services for people of all ages. Their services are offered in person and via telehealth. Resilient Health is an LGBTQ+ welcoming facility.

Outpatient Mental Health and Addiction Services

The outpatient psychiatry services at Resilient Health offer evaluations and diagnoses for those struggling with mental health or substance use disorders. Obtaining a proper diagnosis is a key step toward developing an individual treatment plan that focuses on a future in recovery.

Trauma Informed Therapy

Their mental health and addiction specialists provide counseling services through a mix of psychotherapy methods that emphasize a trauma informed response. This includes eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy and somatic experiencing. They believe that through resilience building skills, an individual can adapt and move forward through life’s challenges.

Medications for Addiction

Individuals with substance use disorder can participate in their outpatient treatment program that provides structured therapeutic services while allowing for the flexibility needed to maintain family and work commitments. For those who need added help, they have a medication assisted treatment program where individuals battling addiction receive FDA approved medications that help with withdrawal symptoms and curb cravings.

Specialized Outpatient Programs for Youth and Families

Resilient offers their Art Awakenings Program, which uses art as a therapeutic tool to help youth, families and adults participate in meaningful self expressive activities that promote socialization, life skills and resilience.

Resilient Health Youth and Family accepts private insurance, Medicaid and other state financed insurance and self pay options. They believe that cost of treatment should never be a reason not to get the help you need. Contact them to find out if there are any income based sliding scale programs or no cost programs financed through grants or agency funds.

Amenities

Art Therapy

Art and music are mediums that connect with our feelings, making them a great recovery tool during addiction treatment. Studies show that combining art/music and drug rehab can have a greater therapeutic impact than drug rehab alone, as you’re able to access parts of your brain and body that you may not have access to during traditional talk therapy. Benefits of art/music therapy include lowering stress and anxiety, promoting healthy neurochemicals, and providing stress relief.

Music Room

Music can be extremely therapeutic, serving as a valuable healing tool and an integrative feature of a holistic treatment plan. A music room offers a large number of outlets, including singing, playing musical instruments, and listening to music.

Private Rehab

Private drug rehab provides a comfortable, secure environment that allows you to focus on doing the work to get your life back on track. Benefits include a higher staff-to-client ratio, increased one-on-one time with therapists and healthcare providers, private rooms for clients, and customized forms of therapy.
