About Reid Community Residential
Formerly known as Reid Community Residential or the Ben Reid Community Correctional Facility, this location now goes by the name Southeast Texas Transitional Center. It specializes in providing drug rehab and transitional services to justice involved adults and young people in Houston, Texas.
Self pay is accepted, along with various financing options directed by court orders. Insurance may also be an option, but it must be verified on a case by case basis.
A Structured Recovery & Reentry Environment
I must note that up to 500 clients can be served at one time, all within these structured halfway house programs where they can safely get sober and begin the process of reintegrating into their communities. Everyone is screened and assigned a case management team.
What follows as part of the addiction treatment and recovery process are regular group and individual therapy sessions, as well as life skills development, and physical and emotional wellness training. I believe clients can also access primary care as needed.
Meals are provided, and regular downtime is scheduled between treatment sessions during which clients can engage in recreational activities, or simply relax.
After Release
Aftercare is offered to clients for up to 12 months after they’re released. This can include spiritual services, education programs, job training, and follow-up counseling. Clothing and food vouchers may also be offered to help clients get back on their feet.
