The Tri County Community Action Agency Health Center in Johnston, Rhode Island offers medical, dental and behavioral health services to people of all ages. There are a few unique treatment options that also caught my eye. They treat eating disorders, which can be tied into substance use. They also treat fertility issues with a combination of counseling and medical care.

I also noticed that they offer court ordered classes, including classes on anger management and domestic violence. Substance use can result in legal charges, so it’s good to see services for the justice involved at the Health Center.

They also have specialists to help with gay and lesbian issues as well as gender identity, so no one is excluded from getting the care they need for mental health and/or substance use.
