Substance Use and DUII Treatment Services
Polk County has intensive outpatient and standard outpatient behavioral health treatment services. Clients start with an assessment after which they’re given an individualized treatment and recovery plan. The program’s certified counselors work with you through individual counseling and treatment groups. There are also peer support services available. If necessary, the counselors can refer you to a higher level of care such as an inpatient treatment or detox center.
The county is state approved to provide DUII education and rehabilitation services. If you’ve had a previous DUI or have a substance use disorder, you may be eligible for the rehabilitation program. The program includes education and substance use treatment based on your assessment. You’ll need to abstain from any drugs or alcohol for at least 90 days prior to completing the program.
The DUII education is for those with no previous DUIIs who don’t meet the criteria for having a substance use disorder. The education is four weeks. You’ll complete a minimum of 12 hours of substance use education.
Community Resources in Dallas, Oregon
One of the things I like about this center is the comprehensive list of supportive services they offer. I especially like the wraparound services for kids ages 2-17 who meet the eligibility requirements, including an active mental health diagnosis. The treatment team consists of teachers, friends, relatives and others with involvement in the child’s life. The setting and services vary depending on the child’s needs.
The Behavioral Health Resource Network (BHRN) is another program I think clients appreciate. The program is for any resident with substance use disorder who lives in Polk County. The program is free and includes peer support, harm reduction, employment support and connection to vital resources such as food and housing.
