About Red Rock Behavioral Health Services Jordans Crossing – Closed

Jordan’s Crossing, run by Red Rock Behavioral Health Services, was a project in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, dedicated to providing addiction treatment for women. The organization has served Oklahoma for more than four decades, beginning with mental health services for vulnerable youth in Northeast Oklahoma City.

The facility was located along the I-240 corridor, giving staff and clients convenient access to shopping and healthcare. Several churches are also nearby, making it easy for clients to participate in faith based activities.

Residential Recovery for Women in Oklahoma City

Addiction treatment programs focused on helping pregnant women and women with dependent children recover from substance use disorders (SUD). The center opened in 2011 with 60 beds, and I found it inspiring that by the time the project ended in 2024, they could accommodate 80 residents.

The program’s mission was to offer a safe, supportive place for women and their children. Funding from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) allowed for updates to the property. Renovations helped make the setting feel more like home, creating a calm space for healing.

Comprehensive Support for Recovery

The treatment program consisted of several traditional counseling methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing (MI). MI is a conversation based counseling approach that helps people find their own reasons to make positive life changes.

Parenting classes and life skills training were also part of the treatment program. Life skills training included guidance in practical skills like budgeting and meal planning. Social rehabilitation focused on preparing residents to live independently and become productive members of their communities.

Jordan’s Crossing was staffed 24/7 to provide safety and support, something I think is critical to women in early recovery. I’m also grateful that the staff worked with other agencies in the area to help residents find housing and prepare for employment after finishing treatment.
