Recovery is Happening is a full-service Recovery Community Organization that mobilizes addiction treatment and recovery resources to residents of Minnesota. Using a peer-based model of support, Recovery is Happening provides intensive outpatient programming for one year to individuals seeking recovery. They also offer a short-term program for individuals who have just completed an inpatient program. The intensive outpatient program includes a peer-centered assessment and recovery planning session, integrated services and referrals to community resources, and evidence-based therapies. The center also provides medication management through Valley Pain and Medical, which offers a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program. MAT uses FDA-approved medications, in combination with counseling, to treat opioid use disorders. MAT is a highly effective treatment endorsed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) as the gold standard of care for opioid addiction.

Recovery is Happening is a member of the Association of Recovery Community Organizations. As a nonprofit, the organization offers various services for free or covered by grants and local government funding.
