The Recovery House of Ocala is a halfway house for men. You'll find 'em located out in Ocala, Florida. They provide a stable, substance free home environment for men who are transitioning from an addiction treatment program back into the community.

You’ll share the house with other guys who’ve fought their way back from the grips of addiction and are determined to get their lives back. They’ve designed the house to be as comfortable as possible, with a spacious backyard and TV room, a computer for job applications and a beautiful kitchen for meal prep.

The house you’ll be staying in has strict rules that you’ll be expected to follow. This creates an ideal environment for you to practice being responsible and following through on commitments. They expect you to remain substance free for the duration of your stay. While this may seem strict, these guidelines will equip you to live successfully on your own without relapsing.

12 Steps to Recovery in North Central Florida

While you’re staying onsite, they’ll require you to go to 12 Step meetings and find a sponsor. They firmly support the 12 Steps methodology as it’s linked to spiritual growth and development. They don’t provide counseling or mental health help, but they’ve created a recovery community that works.

I think it’s also neat that the 12 Steps are posted on their walls for plain viewing. It’s a helpful reminder that they’ve got your back, and so have the other fellows with you.
