Ready Willing and Able Philadelphia is a unique transitional housing program for men aged 18 and older experiencing life challenges in Philadelphia. This Pennsylvania city is known as the birthplace of the United States, bursting with history, culture and arts. Still, many of its residents face significant barriers, like homelessness, poverty, addiction and incarceration. Ready Willing and Able Philadelphia offers services to address these challenges.

Their residential program integrates work therapy, support services and temporary housing to help you enhance your quality of life. You can access a safe living environment with 60 peers on similar journeys. Upon graduating from their program, you’ll have reached long-term recovery, found full-time employment and secured independent housing.

Many things caught my eye about them. Most important was their comprehensive approach. They help you foster essential skills to benefit your journey. After 30 days in their program, you’ll participate in paid work to improve the community. These duties help you gain job experience, build financial sufficiency and develop a sense of belonging and purpose. You can also participate in educational programming to get your GED or high school diploma, receive job search assistance and engage in resume building.

They understand that connecting you with vital services is crucial. You’ll benefit from a case manager who creates a customized treatment plan with your needs at the forefront. You can access referrals to intensive outpatient care, optional medication assisted treatment (MAT) and social support services. These interventions can help you build essential coping skills to sustain recovery.

Another fantastic element is their dorm-style housing. They offer a comfortable space to connect with peers and focus on recovery. You can access daily nutritional meals, recreational spaces and computer labs. You’ll also form a solid sober network as you live among others walking the same path.
