About Queens County Neuropsychiatric Institute

Bleuler Psychotherapy Center was formerly Queens County Neuropsychiatric Institute. It is a behavioral health treatment center that addresses mental health and co-occurring substance and process addictions, such as drug, alcohol and gambling disorders. Addiction services include counseling and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Several Facilities Offer Mental Health Treatment

The Bleuler Psychotherapy Center (BPC) has two New York locations, including the 37th Avenue facility in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens. Clients can visit the Jackson Heights facility for mental health issues and be referred to the organization’s nearby location for substance use or process addictions treatment.

I think it’s worth noting that they accept several major health insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. They offer an income based sliding scale for uninsured individuals.

Experienced Professionals

The building is conveniently located where 72nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue intersect. The former institute unified with BPC in 2023 and retained a staff of experienced professionals who specialize in behavioral and neuropsychiatric conditions. I like that the treatment team focuses on breaking down barriers to care and providing accessible treatment regardless of your ability to pay.

Inclusive Addiction and Mental Health Treatment Services

The clinicians offer affirming and inclusive treatment. They strive to provide a welcoming environment for those in the LGBTQIA+ Community where everyone feels free to be themselves without judgment.
