About Acoma Pueblo Behavioral Health Services

Acoma Behavioral Health Services (ABHS) is a tribal mental health community outreach organization that is focused on providing substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and mental health services to tribal residents within the Pueblo of Acoma in New Mexico. It is located near the Sky City Cultural City and Casino & Hotel which are popular tourist attractions centered around the history and resilience of the Acoma people not far from multiple national parks and the iconic Grand Circle region. While ABHS does not restrict its services solely to tribal members, that is the priority because of the remote nature of this community.

Multiple Tracks for Outpatient Recovery

Rehabilitation is the priority at ABHS with an emphasis on multiple outpatient tracts. I appreciate that you can choose between an intensive outpatient program (IOP) as well as a traditional outpatient program. Additionally, if necessary there is dual diagnosis care provided here to help you manage mental health disorders that may have contributed to your addiction. I appreciate that this facility also provides a range of counseling services to help you gain control of your SUD and successfully work towards sobriety.

Inclusive and Comprehensive SUD Support

Another nice feature of ABHS is the variety of care that this organization offers. For example, I found that this organization provides care across age groups including adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17, adults, and seniors. Likewise, veterans, active military, members of the LGBTQ+ community and abuse survivors can also receive care here. Additionally, ABHS provides case management and aftercare services to ensure that you have the support you need to transition fully back into a sober lifestyle.

ABHS accepts most insurances and they also accept Medicaid, Medicare and IHS/Tribal/Urban (ITU) funds. Self payment is an option too through a sliding fee scale based on demonstrated need.
