Legacy Behavioral Health Services in Valdosta, Georgia, offers mental and behavioral health services to individuals of all ages, including families and veterans. Legacy offers a rounded and comprehensive variety of services, available to individuals living in the 10 counties of southern Georgia: Ben-Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Tift, and Turner County. Their core belief is that individuals can change their lives for the better with access to high-quality, individualized care. Hence, they’ve tried to make theirs as accessible as possible.
An array of mental and behavioral health services are available here on an outpatient basis to adults aged 18 and older. Following evaluation, individuals can access individual and group counseling, peer support services and case management. Clients can also benefit from supported employment services here should they find themselves out of work or underemployed.
The center’s Projects Assisting in Transitioning from Homelessness, or PATH initiative is designed for homeless individuals who may also be struggling with mental health and addiction problems. Individuals can access support by engaging in outreach services.
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is also available here as part of the center’s opioid use disorder program. This option can be ideal for individuals who may benefit from additional structure throughout recovery. Combining medication and therapy for optimal results, the program provides medical support by managing withdrawal symptoms and cravings, while also getting to the root of addiction in talk therapy.
