Finding Sober Activities in Houston

I noticed that Houston Montrose Outpatient isn’t far from unique sober activities you can do when you’re not in treatment. You can spend time appreciating art at the Color Factory Houston or check out the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Near the facility is the University of St. Thomas and Houston Community College. There are also restaurants in the area, which is nice in case you would like a bite to eat after your treatment.

Healing Services for the Family

Depending on your specific needs, you may attend either their partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP) and supportive outpatient program (SOP). If your needs require their PHP services, you’ll attend treatment up to 20 hours per week. With their IOP services, you attend treatment for a total of nine to 12 hours per week for a total of eight weeks.

I do like that you will meet with their physician weekly, aside from your therapy services. You will have the opportunity to participate in art and music therapy. These forms of therapy will help you manage life’s daily stressors and it creates a safe space for emotional release.

What stood out to me is their commitment program. This program allows you to return and seek treatment for stabilization without any additional costs. I like that your support will be customized to your needs, so that you may get back on track. In order to be eligible for this program, you would have had to fully pay for your treatment in full without the use of insurance. You must have also completed your initial treatment program and have followed all your discharge recommendations.
