About Plymouth House
The Plymouth House is an addiction and dual diagnosis treatment center overlooked by the White Mountains in Plymouth, New Hampshire. It's a 12 Step-based program that combines medical and clinical services to help adults. It's a retreat-like campus covering seven acres. Their continuum of care includes detox and residential treatment. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is also available.
Plymouth House opens its doors to anyone regardless of their past treatment history. You can pay with most insurance plans or with their self pay option. The campus includes a library and yoga studio, among other amenities.
The continuum of care at Plymouth House aligns with your progression through the 12 Steps. You start in the inpatient phase and work toward the partial hospitalization program and finally intensive outpatient and extended care. Along the way, you'll work with a personal therapist and a program sponsor.
The 12 Steps focuses on accountability and personal responsibility. At Plymouth House, this modality is paired with traditional therapies and education workshops. While you're navigating the structured 12 Step program, the other side of treatment will explore the links between thoughts and behaviors. You'll work on a variety of different life and coping skills focused on maintaining sobriety.
All of this takes place in a beautiful natural setting. All of their amenities are paired with the gorgeous sights of New Hampshire's rural landscape. In your downtime, you can spend time among the trees or walking winding trails. I like recovery centers that make use of natural settings like these because they can help calm the mind and put distance between yourself and distractions.
