Impaired Driver Program in Watertown

Their Impaired Driver Program (IDP) is for those convicted of an alcohol or drug related driving violation. The goal is to lessen the occurrence of impaired driving offenses. You may be eligible for a conditional license or driving privileges upon completion of the program. You can enroll by visiting your local DMV.

Alliance for Better Communities

The Alliance for Better Communities was founded to create a safer, healthier, and drug free community for young people. Funded by a Drug Free Communities (DFC) grant, the Alliance gathers local data to address specific issues within the community. They do this through education, awareness, and policy change. I like that the Alliance is comprised of members from all different sectors of society. Since 2014, it has been making positive changes for the youth of Jefferson County.

Youth Alliance of Jefferson County

The Youth Alliance of Jefferson County is a program for young people aged nine to 25. Their goal is to reduce and delay substance use among young people. The focus is on positive engagement and youth empowerment. I noted that parent and community resources are offered on their website.
