About Pittsburgh Mercy North Side
Pittsburgh Mercy, with a location in the North Side of Pittsburgh, is a community health provider that also connects residents with social services in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The North Side location is one of three locations across the city.
Along with providing behavioral health services including substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, you can also access medical care and services to help with homelessness.
Medication Assisted Treatment Options
Pittsburgh Mercy can help you safely detox from opioids. The Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) group is designed to integrate into the organization’s outpatient program. Along with medication dosing, I found that you’ll also have access to therapy sessions that are offered in both individual and group formats. However, MAT care is only provided at the Southside location.
Dual Diagnosis Support When You Need It
For so many people struggling with SUDs, the addiction is an unfortunate byproduct of unmanaged mental health disorders. If you’re assessed to have mental illness, you can take advantage of the program’s dual diagnosis support. This not only includes more customized access to therapy that can specifically address your condition, but potentially even medication management to help you better regulate.
I like that this facility also provides dual diagnosis care for adolescents that are struggling with addiction too.
Comprehensive Therapeutic Services
Pittsburgh Mercy relies on evidence based methods to provide effective treatment solutions. While in their outpatient program, you can take advantage of a variety of interventions including CBT, DBT, along with motivational interviewing and enhancement therapy. During your assessment, clinicians will give you a recommended treatment plan that’s catered to your specific needs.
Access to Social Services
Beyond SUD treatment, Pittsburgh Mercy also provides access to social services. This not only includes essential medical care, but can also include safety net services for people struggling with homelessness. Securing stable transitional housing, and even help preparing for permanent residence is available.
Amenities
Taking time away from a demanding corporate job to attend drug rehab may seem impossible, but executive drug rehab programs combine cutting edge addiction treatment with executive amenities like Wi-Fi, access to computers, and conference calling so you can take care of your health and stay on top of business.
Residential drug rehab provides the comforts of home with the therapeutic support needed to successfully recover. Benefits of an inpatient program include increased safety, a higher success rate, and the time and distance given to focus on recovery. Residential drug rehabs are often the preferred method of treatment, as they can be tailored to meet specific needs, offer focused therapeutic care, and provide the necessary tools to sustain recovery.
