Pineland BHDD – John's Place Crisis Stabilization is a 16 bed crisis stabilization unit in Statesboro, Georgia serving adults experiencing acute behavioral health and substance use crises.
The program provides 24/7 psychiatric evaluation, medical screening and nursing services, medication administration and around the clock monitoring in a safe and secure environment.
John's Place aims to help individuals stabilize, connect with resources and return to the community as quickly as possible with the right supports in place.
24/7 Crisis Stabilization
John's Place specializes in short term crisis stabilization for adults in mental health or substance use crises.
As part of Pineland BHDD's broader behavioral health system, the unit offers rapid assessment and stabilization alongside linkage to ongoing care.
During a stay, individuals receive psychiatric evaluation and medical screening, medication management and 24 hour nursing support.
I appreciate how discharge planning and aftercare referrals are built into every stay to ensure continuity of care once the immediate crisis has passed.
Substance Use Support
Beyond crisis care, I want to note that Pineland BHDD provides outpatient and intensive outpatient substance use services for individuals needing ongoing treatment.
IOP offers more structure and support than traditional outpatient care, while mobile crisis response and a 24/7 crisis hotline extend help into the community for those who need it.
