About Appling Counseling Center
Pineland Appling Counseling Center is located in Baxley, Georgia. They strive to make a difference in people's lives and the community through substance abuse treatment and prevention. It’s an outpatient treatment center with different levels of services and continuum care.
ASAM Level 1 Care
Their first level of care provided is called ASAM Level 1. They provide assessments and individual, group and family therapy. They also provide education and relapse prevention along with aftercare, and they have physicians and nursing services if needed.
ASAM 2.1 Care
If it’s decided that either adults or adolescents need more intensive care, they’ll be referred to the ASAM Level 2.1 program. It’s much more structured and intensive and still uses evidence based practices and is geared toward promotion recovery.
Services for Women
I noticed that they have specially designed programs for women. They have what’s called an addictive disease intensive outpatient program, which is designed to help women battling addiction be successful when getting back into society.
They also have an adjacent long term residential treatment center for women called Women’s Place. They accept pregnant and postpartum women with substance abuse issues. I like how they will also accept their infant children.
Outpatient Continuing Care
Thier continuum care services include the ASAM 1 and 2.1, as well as an ASAM Level 5 program. They also help with women’s intensive outpatient care, transitional housing and wraparound services for adolescents.
Payment
I really like that they say they’ll accept payment on a sliding scale, and no one will be denied services because they can’t pay. They do accept Medicaid and Medicare Supplemental Coverage, and they take some insurances. They can coordinate here with law enforcement to provide assessments or report to probation or parole officers if needed. They report to other social agencies as well.
